I saw that this morning, totally rad

Looks like I'll go with the ST Racing clutch, it should fit on the TRX 2.5R engine too. I want to throw in a torque control slipper clutch on the T-Maxx as well, I'm not overly fond of having to wind the engine up before the trans clutch assembly engages, plus I hear the stock trans clutch is troublesome as it wears.

I went ahead and bought some stuff for both the Revo and the T-Maxx, blue RPM arms front and rear for both trucks with the RPM true track rear arm conversions for both trucks. New clutch coming for the Revo and new batteries for both trucks, ontop of some other little accessories here and there :)

    Budget? What's a budget?!

RPM arms are well worth the price, nearly indestructible plus a lifetime warranty so since the T-Maxx and Revo are going to be bashers I figure the cost of the arms is justified

Well the weather kept us out of the air this weekend but I had plenty of time to work on the RC cars. First up, a day of play with the T-Maxx, and since the ground was still wet that meant plenty of MUD  Really, it's the perfect basher, I can't wait to slap on all of the RPM goodies I got for it. Sunday rolled around and it was still raining so I spent most of the day cleaning the truck inside and out. Had it halfway disassembled just to get the dirt and gunk out of the crevices but she looks almost mint now!

Monday rolled around and I had the day off, and since the flying fields were mostly washed out from the wet weather I had no choice but to give the Revo some attention. Amidst my work on the Revo, the UPS and USPS guys showed up at the same time and dropped off my gaggle of goodies for the T-Maxx and Revo so I got to work on slapping the parts on the Revo. New ST Racing 3 shoe clutch, new RPM arms front and rear, and added the Traxxas rear wing and swaybar kit. I only put the front swaybar on as the rear swaybar assembly is quite a bit complicated...

I ran about half a tank through the Revo yesterday as I was chasing an odd lean condition (give it gas and it would lean out, as soon as you let off the gas it dies). Turns out the fuel inlet on the carb was loose, and before I found that out my igniter died so that ended the fun. Oh well, I do have an EZ Start 2 control box coming in the mail today so at least I don't have to futz with a glow igniter and a separate battery pack.

This past weekend was the annual Yuma Aeromodelers "Fly Yuma Model Air Show" and I decided to attend it. Colton Clark and Kevin Garland were also present so we all threw down for the crowds. It was a very formal air show with probably close to 2000 spectators!! I had the mindset that there were going to be 5-100 people show up but this was quite the event this year. We didn't wind up flying until close to 2pm as we were the closing act but we gave the crowd something to remember.

After the show was over it was a meet-n-greet event so the crowd could come say hi, most have never seen 3D flying so they were highly impressed with what the airplanes are capable of.

Once the crowd dispersed the field was open for flying so me, Colton, and Kevin all burned probably a gallon each on the 70CC airplanes (mind you the 70CC sips gas) until the sun was gone. Very fun weekend

I'm tempted to run away. But I'd have to go far, far away!

We're moving to TX. Just as it warms up for flying season here, flying season is coming to a close there. 105 and 99% humidity.... I'm hosed until September at least...

Woohooo!!! The ZDZ180 is back in the nose of the Extra!!!

Need to make new servo pushrods for choke/throttle servos, need to mount said servos, cut holes in the cowl for the mufflers, baffle the engine, hook the ignition up, repair the wing tip, and I need to look over the prop to see if it's good enough to use again, otherwise I'll be needing a new one.
