Well, just one of the guys now. A sign of the times.

My mail box is well over quota since I am no longer a paying vendor. I can only be reached at WrongWayRc@hotmail.com

I have advertised here for over two years straight. Was not getting enough traffic to pay for my advertising. Wish I could say differently. My company is still struggling... orders going out as quick as ever. I will continue, its what I got. (no Virginia, this is not a side job):banghead:

So I now start a flight log... gonna post some vids too, love to fly, that's for sure... Maybe share any brainstorms that I come up with in the future.

First up... The PBF photos, finishing up and bringing to the event next week.... that is not happening.... and I am not sponsoring...

PS, a shout out to all the bro's who have supported me. Sure do appreciate it...Look forward to flying at the field with ya.

    We Will See You There

    Richard

Well, to start with- Welcome to the fray!

Businesses are hard, especially for a boutique vendor. I hope things pick up for you- the holidays are around the corner, and I'm sure with some Circus style arm-twisting we could get a few guys to buy themselves a present or two ;-)

I want one of those WWRC stickers on my Super Cub. It's the right color and everything!

Oh, throw down some pics for us- you know, shop, planes, toys... you know- the good stuff!

Well the PBF flier had been maiden-ed before Huck O Ween. I tangled with two foamies there... got a prop strike in the box and kept flying...one foamy went down, the other kept flying... the pbf is a tank....in first gear...LOL

The ST-10 is a bad azz motor. I propped it with a 10x6 and got 305 watts, then went to a 10x7 and got 325 watts... Tried a 9x6 and wattage came down to 280... the 40c 3s Sky lipos never get warm... even when I charge them at 5 amps... Today it has a 10-4.7 slow flier prop.. forgot to check wattage... Seems like 10 minute flights with reserve is no problem.

Then I took my pbf to our club fun fly last month... called taking off (hand launch) and flew upwind only to collide with a foamy yak (the kind with a real fuselage)... he was flying against the grain and I cut him clean in half.... plop "On The Runway"... he went... by the end of that day I found that I stripped my cheap china servo and the prop got broken...

Here is a vid from today.. they are a hoot and twitchy if you want them to be.. about the biggest thing that sucks about a pizza box flier..... no knife edge flying....

If anyone were to have one (I dont sell them) I would recommend a dozen props to start...The orange 10x6 props were about two for two bucks....

    Something different...

This is a scratch built Roger Purcell "Scream Machine." It is a design that Roger got help from his buddy Don Muddiman on..

44 inches, 4lb 7 oz dry.. JBA56 turning a master aircrew 10x8 at 14,400 half way through the first tank... not fully leaned out..

100 mph knife edge circles are a breeze and it is fully aerobatic... you cant break it in the air...the 100 mph snaps are a hoot..

Got a pipe to put on it later when the engine finishes breaking in.

Just got the email from the Corrigan Brothers band.

""Corrigan Brothers are going to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Douglas “Wrongway” Corrigan’s flight to Ireland this year, “we hope to perform the song live at Baldonnel Aerodrome on the spot where “Wrongway” landed.

    Wrongway Corrigan 75th Anniversary Song""

    He flew on July 17th.

    More from the email...

""A Song to Cleberate the 75th Anniversary of Douglas “Wrongway” Corrigan’s flight from Floyd Bennett Field ,New York to Baldonnel Aerodrome Ireland , July 18th 1938 coming up on July 18th 2013 making history in his 28 hour and 13 minute flight.

Corrigan Brothers, the Irish Band whose international hit “There’s no one as Irish as Barack Obama” has reached ten million you tube hits and charted all over the world have written a song to celebrate Douglas “Wrong Way” Corrigan. Lead singer Ger Corrigan , we are surprised that nobody else has publicised it and we think it would be a great Gathering opportunity for Corrigans all over the world, perhaps the people in the Gathering project will get on board,” Ger also explained the inspiration for the song “ every Corrigan gets called “wrong way” at some stage in their life and we suspect that Douglas Corrigan always intended to fly to Ireland and his story was a ruse to avoid the strict regulations of the time, he perhaps should be renamed “Right Way” Corrigan. We are currently researching our family tree and are confident of finding a link to Douglas. We are hoping to perform the song in the very spot Douglas landed on July 18th 2013, provided we have clearance from air traffic control, we will log our song plan and will not deviate from it’s course, unlike good old Douglas”.Corrigan Brothers are currently recording their second album “Our Favourite Irish Songs” and will begin a world tour in October 2013.""
