I was wondering how my dle55ra in the Pitts would run after sitting for over 2 years.
    No problem. Ran great.

That Pitts is really nice. How long does assembly at the field take ?

The chili dogs were awesome. It’s all in the chili though. Cardboard would probably be just as good with that chili on there. lol

About twenty minutes or so. It won’t fit in my car with the landing gear on so there is extra assembly involved.
The thing is though when you’re done it’s a f’ing Pitts.

The term "10 lbs of chit in a 5 lb sack" comes to mind!
Glad to see you got some flying in. Beautiful bipe!

Your car reminds me of my friend Jamie Hicks. He brought his 120cc Extra from Texas to Indiana to fly at the XFC in a Toyota Cion. He had that plane completely apart. He got to use my trailer once he got here.

There is no S/H on F/C Pam... This is the internet where Keyboard Jockeys can say anything they want to without the fear of getting punched in the face. :)

    I just want to say:

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Visiting my mom in Wichita Falls for Thanksgiving.
I only got about 1.5 flights with the Escapade. One flight ended in a dead stick.
I couldn't get either of my glow engines to run very well. I think my fuel may be old. It's around 2 or more years old.
My Magnum .70 four stroke in my Phaeton II ran a little better but it was too windy for me to take it up. It was good to at least run both engines as it has been awhile for both.

Yes with a OS .55Ax on there it really gets up and goes. The plane snaps real well too.

Wow, seeing that Phaeton brings back a flood of 1980's memories.
As does reading about glow fuel suspicions! :willynilly:Moisture was usually the culprit. Fuel left in the field fuel can as opposed to the sealed jug. Or a glow plug that saw it's last day a weekend ago after tirelessly flipping, priming, flipping, cussing, (repeat!)

Gee, I'm impressed Pam, I don't miss any of that craziness!

Pam I had three of them, 2 with the .55 and one with the .46. I think I preferred the performance with the .46 better. It wasn't much lighter but I guess on such a small plane that little bit made a difference. It was just as fast but had snappier performance. Or at least it seemed like it, it could all be in this vast space between my ears that is referred to as my mind. :D
