Slipstream/EG Aircraft

EG Aircraft are made by Gold Wing RC, they are pretty decent planes and fly well. That is an attractive price but the color scheme is.....not my favorite.

I have seen the EG stuff close up and am looking at their Slick for a go to first plane. Their quality is very good. Slipstream is the same company with lower hardware pack.

EG Aircraft/Slipstream are excellent planes. The EG has the best hardware package I've seen to date and they build very light.

Out of the same factory, differences are more than the hardware pack,,,, ;)

My EG slick will be here Wed. I'll let you know how it looks. I have the PAU extra you had and an EF Yak that I can compare it to.

Color schemes, covering quality, carbon fiber parts, some smaller Slipstream models don't have cowl rings, those are differences I know of. The basic construction is the same though.

I was thinking of the Slipstream 30cc MXS in the green/checkers. It is available here at Great Hobbies for $330 bucks Canadian.

http://www.greathobbies.com/productinfo/?prod_id=SLP30001A

It is a very good tempting deal, but it has aluminum gear and tubes, and a cardboard tube in the fuse for the wing tube. Probally the covering is Ultracote, but I`m not sure. Don`t know what the other hardware is like.

And more importantly to me, is I don`t know if it has been up-graded to fit the new rear carb 30cc engines.

Sure does look pretty though in this scheme and the purple Gary Ward one.

Great Hobbies does carry the EG Aircraft 50cc MSX-R though, and man it is nice. And affordable. I would jump on this one I tell you if I wanted another 50cc ship.

So I decided to wait for a 30cc plane that is available up here with a few more options around $450 bucks, like my buds Pilot S-bach.

I like the options on the up and coming EG Aircraft 30cc MXS-R, but that won`t probally be available in Canada till late spring if they get it at all.

I found today a distributor in Colorado that sells a 30cc MXS-R.

http://milehighrc.com/BD_MXS_30CC.html

This is most likely the EGAircraft one that is not available yet.

I wrote Mile High a E-mail today and asked questions about shipping to Ontario Canada, and if or when this ARF will be available.

Some more pics anyhow...........

To my knowledge, RedAeroRC is the ONLY company to have written permission from Breitling to reproduce a MXSR with their name on it. They went to a lot of trouble and expense to DO IT RIGHT.

To your knowledge.
True (for the US), those are the Peak models, the EG 30CC MXS-R are in production.

Customs "trade mark infringement" team pulled our container and I had to produce said letter from Breitling.
