2/27/10 San Diego IMAC at Miramar....... Hi everybody. Hope all had a great holiday and are looking forward to a good IMAC season.

Miramar Remote Control Flyers will be hosting both San Diego stops in the IMAC schedule for 2010. 2/27-28/10 and 6/26-27/10 The MRCF club is excited to host this again. The field/pit area has gone threw some update/additions and a final field cleaning is scheduled. We have high hopes to make this another great event. Please sign up as early as possible so we can plan for the group size. http://www.mini-iac.com/Regions/Sout...9/Default.aspx

Use the above link for general club info. Remember this is a "primitive camping" type location w/only portajohns. We have a great lunch planned for the contest days but on friday you will be on your own. So remember food/drink if you need it.

Directions for first timers to the field. From I-15 North exit east on Pomerado Road and go approximately 500 yds., turn right (South) into Marine Corps Reserve Center. Stop at gate at left turn in road. Entry gate is marked and locked. Member escort is required. Remember I-15 exit is marked Miramar/Pomerado between the 52 and 56 frwy's, not to be confused with the Pomerado Rd exit further north near Escondido/Lake Hodges area. A Friday practise session is schedules from 11am to 5pm. Same as last time. Club members will be manning the gate best as possible threw out the morning to direct you into the field. A Cell# will be posted at the gate in the event you arrive and the gate is unmanned. Please be patient. Arriving and departing in groups will be much appreciated to minimize gate staffing needs.

    Who's going?

    Hey Steve,
Are you actually going to fly this one? I don't think I will be able to make it unfortunately. I plane to make the second one at this field though.

Yep, I will not only fly, I am Assistant CD. The only reason I haven't been flying more contests is that work has restricted my freedom to travel. I will fly at least 4, maybe 5 contests this year. We'll miss you at this contest.

This event is perfect for a 2 meter electric Katana if anyone has such an airplane. Especially if he has finally learned how to properly enter a spin. I'm just saying....
