I like how that spinner attaches to the backplate. Maybe thats more common than I am aware of. What brand is that?

I am not sure but I would guess that is the new 4" SMJ carbon fiber cone, aluminum backplate spinner. Just a guess though, don't quote me on that.

It is becoming the new trend. With a center bolt spinner, you are compressing the entire outer ring of the spinner into your cowl. I found that out first hand on my 91" Corvus. I quickly remedied that with a 3.5" Mejzlik spinner. PAU distributes "No Limitz" spinners. But this one, is very scale looking! I got it from this guy named Steve Johnston, aka Mr. SMJ spinners. And yes, he has already commented on the thread.

I actually rcv'd this spinner on Friday, last week. He kinda shamed me into cutting and drillilng it to fit. :) Thanks Dick! Pics definately do it justice with my shotty cutting abilities. But granted, it looks killer on it! I will get some HQ pics this weekend. Good to have a nice long weekend!

Got tjw clamps removed from the Carden today. Trim up a little Gorirra Grue, and make a gear plate this week. Will be in business!! Need to sit at the scroll saw and cut up some 3/4" squares for the cowl halves. Need to figure out, 4-40 or 6-32 screws.... Mount the cowl rings and then line up the cowl with a small gap between it and the fuse.

Then to decided if Im want to mount the DA or 3W....... I think I have the right spacing for the 3W, but will need about 1" with the DA....... Decisions...... I hate them!

Bunky,

Lol

Steve
With a dull blade. Told ya....... I didnt have large diameter solder to keep it from deforming. I did the best I could, just a little clean up needs to happen.

Hey Stevie, got any 5 and 6 inchers?

Oh...and by the way, WHAT'S UP FELLAS??? :)
Fu Sheng!! What up my ninja! Yeah, Steve makes 5". But no 6". Not sure if a 6" is on his list or not...... Steve told me that I have #2 of the 4". Chris Hinson has #1. I can live with that! :) Steve actually checked his first pull on my OMP 330SC in Chattanooga in March. It fit great! And looked even better!

I asked about a natural color (carbon) with no paint. He said how he does it, it doesnt look good without color on it. So, my new 5" will be going on my Dalton 300 when it gets done will be black. It will really pop against the Orange and Silver! :)

And I may transplant this 4" from the OMP to the Carden when it gets done. ;)

Ahhh, Cool man! What's not so cool is, I had to cover a bill this morning that I forgot about. But! I've got a side job lined up for Saturday, so.... I will have some spinner dough next week, if you still have it, that is. PM me the price for the 5 incher in yellow. It will be going on a 2.6m CompBarf Extra in the Fantasy scheme, if you could match the Compy yellow, that would be far out, if not, no big deal, just primer it for me and I'll paint it myself at work. Will be needing another 5 incher for a 3.1m CompBarf Extra, but that will be painted, what scheme, I still don't know. So if you get another batch of 5 inchers, put one aside for me, primered will be fine.
Now, I will be needing a 6 inch beauty in the near distant future. Any plans on you making them? It's gonna go on that 126 inch PAU Edge I scored. If not, I'll order it from PAU, they sell those No Limits spinners, but I do like the one's that you make, so..... If you make one, that would be fargin fantastits!!! :)

Haha! Sure it was fun, I was 19, first job in my life, earned 25 grand in two months, partied my ass off. But really, job, or no job, I still would have partied my ass off, still had a blast of a time, just with some other crazy friends of mine. I was surprised the damn movie became the best movie of 1986 though, I was a part of something that made it big, it was cool, but I still can't fly like you do, and your cover shot turned out to be one of the best covers that Model Aviation ever had, that's purdy cool too!!!
