Filled the rest in with RLM80 and did some chipping.
Toned everything down and highlighted with Flat Earth followed by Nelson's Flat clear to blend everything.
Don't ya think they could at least die cut these crazy stickers? Grrrrr!!
That looks like a fun time!
Next time, cut those little instruments out with curved cuticle scissors - way easier.
Better yet - get the wife to do it since her fingers actually fit into the holes in the handles.
These are the best I've found
Hey David ,, I don't think it matters much but the MiG's dickpit was in a light blue paint. Also there was no gun in the nose ring that was a I/R sensor (I think)?
Dude! Don't tall him that now! He's going to take it all apart again and start over!
Well... I was wrong... They weren't even stickers. Had to glue them on one by one. GRRRR!
Canopy glass is installed with RC56 and I used foamy hinge tape "blenderm" to attach ****pit so a pilot can be installed at a later date.
My paint masks arrived just in time from makeyourownstensils.com
Had to hit the white pretty hard over the existing red paint....
Tearing off all the paper is just like Christmas...
Dude... At this point... That little black push rod tube can be anything you want it to be. rrr:
Ok , be that way, Boy you try to help out..... Gee :leaving:
You know I love ya Bro.... Got less than 24 hours till delivery and I smoked!
Gwar must be playing at MAX volume in the shop, and David has probably put a dent in South Cali's Monster supply trying to get this build done on time.
In solidarity, I am heading into my own shop to continue the work on the 120" Clipped wing... Be back in a few hours...
Those masks look sick BTW. Nice work! I hope you're getting compensated for this build!
My buddy says this thing will rotate tomorrow. He/we will be installing the plug-in-play 120mm fan (4 bolts), batteries and rear Mylar ducting at the field.
Still crank'n here... Been jacked up on Monster drink for week now. Will break off at 10:00pm
Will do a gear cycle in the morning before I pack this BIG Fagot up.
18 days... Doneski
