I would look into the AMR (Aircraft Model Research) Waco's. They have 33% and 40% sizes designed around those bad arse Moki radials. The below kits are of the best quality and are TOP GUN capable.

    AMR 33 percent WACO WMF-5

    AMR 40 percent WACO WMF-5

Then there's the Barth Germany kits from Volgelsang Aeroscale

    Barth 1/4 scale WACO WMF-5

    Barth 1/3 scale WACO WMF-5

Sure, I hope to get everyone on film this time out. My knees are totally shot now, waiting a while before I go in for the big surgery, so I won't be on my feet a whole lot. Gotta save some knee-time for the flying. There is nothing worse than having a 150cc airplane up and feeling like you can't stand up another second. I'll have Boss Terri the shutterbug out with her fancy toy taking lots of pictures too.

The AMR 33% Waco's are weighing in around 50#'s with something like 4400 squares of wing. Even at that weight the wing loading is still comparable to a sailplanes wing loading. Some of that weight is the SOLID 1/4" thick tail feathers. Builders have started cutting about 4-7oz's out of the tail feathers now, saving the need for lead in the nose when running the 12# 250cc Moki radial.

I have been looking hard at the AMR kit- but the YMF and the UPF have several differences- different shaped tail and wings, different fuselages, cowls, landing gear etc... As it is I think the AMR is still my best bet. Wings and tails can be massaged and the fuse formers as well. It's going to be years before I can afford it though-

I will look at the Dave Platt Waco-

    Back to the REICH!

I have a good steady stream of required goodies still arriving about once a week. After a year of shopping, I was finally able to get my hands on the "Must Have" 1/32 scale Hasagawa BF109 G14/AS JG300 (Limited Edition). I couldn't stand it and tore into the shrink wrap to check it out. LOL!!

I received the EC#81 decal set from Jerry Crandall at Eagle Editions. Jerry is probably the leading Luftwaffe historian/artist and color authentication.

Also got my hands on the Eagle Editions Lorant/Goyat JG300 Vol 2 from my good friend Pandi.

I received the custom 7-1/2" diameter spun aluminum "soup bowl" and CNC back plate. I would estimate that this one has about half the total mass compared to the solid 1/2" thick back plate on My "Done Yet" 102" Build thread.

It needs a bigger nipple lol.

David- Are you going to build it soon? I used to love plastic models when I was a kid- got one every couple weeks and would build and paint it with my dad. I had lots of fun, and had an early exposure to testors model fumes.

It's nice to see some more Luftwaffe porn, erm, I mean photo's....:)
