Nope! You know what it looks like.
This is what I amthinking for the baffle'ing.... just cardboard templates now.. but it will be from Balsa-Ply with paint when done....
WHAT! Balsa and Ply from THE Composite Man? WTF? I'm expecting molded Carbon and Kevlar in that biotch!

It is a non structureal element... I woulda used Depron... but it gets hot and is a gasoline environment... so I use balsa plywood.... I glue'd the sheets together with epoxy though!!!

OK... I still need to finalize the baffling... but it is good'nuff for high hucking/break-in action...
I needed to finish the wing servo rack installation... it is located about 12 inches inside the wing... in the first couple pix, you can see the simple device I used to hold the screws... once the screw is started, just pull the screwdriver off... push the tubing back and tighten it up....
I got it all done in these snaps 'cept I needed to enlarge the prop openings in the spinner about .100" and drill the prop... after I did that, I put gas in the tank and it started on the 3rd flip once she was wet!!!
She is scheduled to fly saturday at OCMA...

Mike, thanks for the thread. I've picked up a couple of good items from you and your pic's.
Mike had a great maiden flight today, in fact several. Never saw him fly with such energy before. Actually made a hot pass and had a little prop rip music... he was stoked.
I find it VERY hard to believe that Mike's name and the phrase "prop rip" appear in the same sentance.

Yup..... she flew and I have witnesses...
the WWW170 was clearly more power then the 150 I had in my previous SX... and it felt like more additional power then 20 additional CC's would warrent... and seemiingly less fuel consumed.... the WWW170 started on the first, second or 3rd flip every time too.
I do need to move one or more batts forward though.... it was just an RCH tail heavy...

Yep, The plane flew well. A tiny bit tail heavy but I will attend to that. I was using one of those DA170 motors so It was a little slugish.
I always heard the scuttlebutt- DA motors weren't as powerful as other motors, but their reliability and customer service were second to none. Thus far trying to get parts for the 3W106 on the Yak was like pissing on a fire. A total waste of time.
I know it's retarded even talking about it- I have no intention of starting the 3W vs DA thread, or in this case, hijack...

But it is working well so far!
