For convenience (and lack of better options), I would like to mount the ignition between the standoffs on one side of the engine. I'm thinking I can straddle the standoffs with a ply plate, then foam rubber and velcro the ignition to that plate. Bad idea???

    Single cylinder? Twin cylinder?

I always like to have mine in a cool air flow.

Single, and it will get airflow mounted there.
