I think RTF Packages are a great way to get started. You?

So what RTFs do you guys recommend these days to new pilots?

There are lots of electric RTFs, but are there glow RTFs that get your endorsement?

The NexStar used to be glow RTF but I can only find it electric now.



I don't imagine there are any gas RTFs, or are there?

 

Somebody gave me the little Beast from Horizon, it's still in the box, never flown. That's the only RTF airplane I've got. :ack:

 

Ive had 3 of those things, they are fun as hell. They are fragile though. The first one got chewed up by a dog at the park before I could get to it, and the second one got romped on by my own dog in my truck because I just set it in the back seat and forgot, my fault. When I saw it I just laughed.

Take it out in the yard and fly it. It's all kinds of entertaining.

Yeah, one of these days. Been busy with other stuff. Riding the motrcickle, rebuilding an old BMW E39 530 sport, and an E39 540 Touring wagon. If it wasn't for these boards, I woulda almost forgot about RC toy planes and helis!

Sheep, goats..... Who o o o o gives a fu u u u k. And as for flying, so I've been up to other stuff. Must be easy living near all these fields, but then again, you live out in the middle of nowhere. It takes me an hour and a half or more just to get to all the flyingfields my buddies fly at, and lately, I've been disgusted with a lot of the other asswipes at the fields,....... and on these boards, so rather than drive an hour and a half, or more, just to play with a toy plane, I'd rather do a whole bunch of other cool sh!t that I am also into, unlike you being stuck out in nowhere, where cousins, sheep, and goats start to seem appealing, I'd rather be doing my thing. I will get back into flying toy planes, and helis when I feel like, so what if you fly harder than me, you'll still be known as a goat fvkker... Enjoy your day, you hick. :dita:

I knew it!!!!! Dude, next weekend is the Hobby Hangar's event, End Of Summer Bash at the Thornburgh field. I'll be there, just heli's, none of my planes are ready. We should be camping out, lot's of booze involved, no goats.

 

I have done a variety of searches looking for new RTF airplane packages.

I can find LOTS of RTF electric packages

I can find a few RTF glow packages

I can't find any RTF Gas packages.

I guess they figure if you are flying Gas you are beyond the RTF stage.

 

So we do fly alot multiplex in our club so one day a friend of mine had a rtf pack from mpx.
+it has a very good quality
+you just have to work like 2mins. Until it flies
BUT!!!
- i think you will soon need a new remote because this one i think is for people who just want to fly the plane like a month or so... This "remote" is similar to a remote of a PlayStation...
It is kinda small and it just doesn't feel good to fly with it...
