    This engine has been run on 87 octane ethanol free gas with Stihl Ultra HP 50:1 from brand new.

    I highly doubt I punish an engine like you guys do on the farm, I researched and read my azz off before buying this engine. This thread is not what I wanted to see after the fact.

    My engine has less than 2 gallons through it as I said will probably take me quite a few seasons to equal the amount that probably has been run through yours.

    Here I am trying to decide between the EME120 and the GP123....this post just convinced me.. fuk it....A DA120 WILL be ordered monday morning..err... they are 3 hours behind us...make that monday afternoon...

    I got a EME60 as well,after six gals. of redline 32:1 the piston boss wore out where the wristpin rides.
    but all of my bearings are still tight,but who knows for how long.piston and crank are shot,
    how does the cylinder look.

    Is the piston/cylinder pretty clean?

    Man so sorry to see that!!! I know you said the metallic noise so I instantly though needle bearings, and pin...
    Looks like I will be sending you a crank/piston and ring with full gaskets, and bearings just in case.
    So sorry for any delay. I dont sell these anymore and EME usually stops talking "english" so well when I actually need warranty parts:banghead::yikes::biggrin:

    So parts I have to order from a wholeseller.. I just talked to the other vendor and am doing my level best to get these parts dropped shipped straight to you by H.O.W time on the house...
    So sorry man! We will get you going though:thumbsup:

    Rusty also do you think you need a cylinder?? Can you still see the cross hatching..?
    This is interesting as I just repaired one of my own 120's with scorn pistons and another customers..

    Wahoo you made a good decision on the DA 120.. I have been through 2x 123's blown up.. design flaw there.

    I enjoy "instant" gratification as much as the next guy, but in the last few hours I've come to the conclusion that I might get away with cheaping out on a 60 but I might not get as lucky on a twin. The engine I choose is going on a new 36% 330S. I'm not hurting for funds and I have most of the other equipment I need, so why risk the airframe on a cheap azz engine.

    I saw that... I was looking, I wanted to buy my eme60 off you back when, simply because you're more local than anyone else, unfortunately I was in the market right after you pulled out, I bought my 60 from mike @ milehigh. Great guy from what little I've talked to him, which consisted of the initail purchase. I've read he's great on after-sales issues too.

    I have read in this thread and another where you have taken care of customers even though now, you no longer sell the product. AWESOME bro, that's why I looked at your site first when I made up my mind to buy another twin.

    Now I just have to wonder why dave is gambling with his reputation selling the GP line ?

    Mike is a good guy.. he is reputable..
    However giving DA service on asian engines can kill you.. It just doesnt add up..
    Things would have made a different path for myself and EME if I had flown there and met face to face as the demand was there but we are too small of a company.. When I started having issues with the factory I had to pull out to save my business. I cant afford one really costly mistake.
    I also will not pull out on what I sold it wouldnt be right.Face to face with the asians is THE ONLY way to ensure a good product when it comes to airplanes and engines..
    If not they will eventually send you crap when you spend all you time and money giving them a good reputation, getting interest in the product, and supporting your customers. Until then they impress you with quality
    I dont think anyone would of projected the gp thing unles they really knew the owner. I knew earlier in these was going to be an issue with the 123's. I had mine melt down, and some other friends before I put any on the market and I decided I was at a good point to take the conservative path..
    I wish 3w CS 110's werent so high..I need 2 of them:biggrin:

    Cylinder looks pretty good . Piston not so much .
