I saw your Ultimate on YouTube, it made my gut HURT!
Great job on your build videos....I sent them to my friends (saves me a lot of explaining things)
I bought a McFueler after seeing your post. MY DA dot would have drove me crazy. It'll just sit on the shelf.
4 minutes of flight.....about $1000.00 a minute. (I have crazy mad math skillz)
I have a couple friends going through a string of bad luck, and I have to remind them, all it takes is the wrong .25 cent part to fail or get overlooked, and no second chance.
I tell them, you have to preflight, like your ass is going to sit inside it. Then they don't overlook as much stuff.
I remember your vid, about the rudder pushrod letting go.....prompted me to build my rudder links from a solid Rock Crawer link.
I know many have used the 3 piece type, with success. But this Sbach rudder is huge. If I were to have resort to using the glue together type, I'd probably drill a hole through the side and pin it.
I enjoy your build threads, and remember the Ulti going in. That was a sad day indeed. Flatspin Jim Built a Dalton MEL, and the 8/32 elevator control horns snapped off on an early flight and it was a total loss. But, he has since built a new one and has been flying it for over a year now. Sometimes you just pick up and move on.
Just starting to get cought up with e-mails, forums, work, laundry, etc... It was great hanging with you all. Made some new friends and put faces to friends i've only seen online. I only have 2 vids for now of the last 2 flights cought for the week.
I missed you too Bunky!!! We still have OH and KY coming up. Trying to make both, still not sure if it will work out or not.
I've also recieved an overwhelming amount of encouragement to start IMAC. I'll be setting up my 100cc PAU Extra 300sp and giving it a go. The plan is to start in Basic and get used to the event format and how stuff gets run.
