DO NOT forget about the 42% Slick, that thing is very nice as well. Maybe after the dust has settled from the first three monsters, Kevin can offer a 50%'ish Slick, (hint-hint) BUT...before that happens I know Bob has a doozie up his sleeve and it is so friggin BADASS its sickining to say the least. And I can gaurOnteeeee that it WILL be a first...patience, 2011 is gonna be insane.

Are there professional builders for Aerotech kits like there are for Dalton and Carden?

LOTS of non-builders that would like to have one, I'm sure.

Well I know John light was in the process of building 2 of the 55% 260's but havent heard anything in awhile. Also AJ Lee is just about to start on a 42%slick for Tex, and Tex put up build pics when AJ built his Dalton, so maybe we can persuade him to post pics of the slick, or we'll break his knee caps..eh
But as for as others I do not know...Maybe Kevin can chime in on the subject, by the way Kev, where is Matt, havent seen him here yet, car sales that good?...lol

There will be a build thread right here on the circus.....and it will kick off next week. A.J. is going to frame it and cover and paint......Then I will mount the rest.

And I picked up my new 9503 today.

John Light is out of the game, working two jobs as I understand it, but there are many really great pro builders out there. Maybe somebody can throw a list of names out there.

I was curious if there were any that really knew the Aerotech construction and offered their services, like Rob (sukhoi26) does for Dalton and BBW does for Carden.

Mike, you flying this weekend? Byron and I are meeting at the field around 2:00 Saturday afternoon. Don't have to go so damn early with this cooler weather. Sunday shows 50% rain.

The construction isnt hugely different from the other stick kits, I mean its still built up sticks and sheeting foam. The real differences are in the quality of wood selection, some gusseting, crossbracing that adds strength. There are actually less verticles and few diagonals in fuse sides. You would still follow the plans step by step, and the fuse sides are not fully sheeted,3/4 density foam vs 1lb density..so on and so on. Kevin is working Dbl time to make changes that actually make the kits EASIER to build. Think about it, there are 2 guys on here that are building the 55% 260 that have never built a "KIT" before.

There you go Mikey. Damon has actually used the new 7990's. I hope they have more :exercise5: for 2 bills a pop.
Also you would be correct I am bias to stuff that works. IMO Hitec and Futaba are the only 2.4 radios worth a damn. Servos the 9157 is bad ass. After you use them 99% of the others suck. Looks like this Hitec 7990 might be in that 1% area!

Another friend actually used one 7990 on the rudder and took out 2-8711's...he was impressed.
Thats way down the line though, I'll look at it all again when the time comes.

    You packed up yet...?

wow! Another 50%+ Aerotech?? The boys in Iowa are gonna be busy next year for sure!

I've been working on a 42% Slick for about a month now...my first experience at this "hyperlite" stuff. So far, I've been happy with how it's gone together. They are definitely a different animal from "traditional" builds.

I'm excited to see that Aerotech is able to provide another option to kit builders....IMO, there isn't enough choice in kits anymore...

Yes. I haven't seen any on the Slick. Make it's own thread.

FOUR Hyperlite threads at the same time. Awesome!!
