Ok, stupid robot done tmr. Lst night I got out and cleaned up the shop. after that I got the firewall cut and glued in.. I also cut a new top plate for the motor box. I am going to put the throttle servo in the top of the box so as soon as I get the motor mounted I will figure where the that servo is going to go and then lighten the top piece. I still need to gusset the inside of the motor box and build a new bottom plate. I hope to get both of those items done tonight. I took the gear plate out a couple weeks ago and after sitting it reshaped itself. I cleaned up all the old CA and hot glue. I think I will just Epoxy it back into place. I did find one more cross brace in the tail that is broken. I will cut open more of the tail so I can get it reattached. After that I need to figure something on the fuse canopy area. I have been avoiding it. I hate to add anything behind the wing tube..

Sorry, forget some of my threads from time to time and where I update and don't..

    Hmm, lets see here.

Motor box is all finished up..I got her all sanded up last night. I will get the motor mounted and the throttle servo installed this weekend. I will then pull it back off to lighten the whole box up.

Opps wrong pic, That is the old gear plate. I pulled it out months ago and it flattened itself out. So I used real glue and got it back in. She is nice and tight.

I installed gussets on the interior of the box. Tonight I am going to reinstall the L brackets for the gear plate and cut some ply washers for the motor mount bolts.

Last night I worked on some of the bracing forward of the gear plate so I can rework the sheeting. After that it is just some minor issues to get her back to ARF form. Then I will get the gear installed. I am hoping to bring in one more big project for the winter but I have to clear this one and one more before I even have room for the new one.

You know I also finished the repair/rebuild of the cowl ring after I take the clamps off today I will be sort of ready to tackle the reattachment of the cowl..

I also have been soaking the old broken carbon gear with CA so its is nice and stiff again. Not the perfect solution but it will get me going until I can afford another new set. I am waiting on another crashed 89" bird to come my way and I am hoping to find one with gear still in good shape.. In the meantime nice and easy landings and super short take offs.

I am going to bring in another shed. (got it for free it just needs to be moved and a new door made) but I am hoping to get enough of my other crap out of this shop so I can build another bench. I have the stuff to build another rolling bench top (cheap 100.00 tool box with custom ply wood top with extensions) so I can roll it out and walk all the way around it. I hope to use that for some of the smaller projects I have going. Then a permanent place for both the 38% CA and the mystery project. Mystery project wont get much of a build thread.. Why you ask?? Its a mystery to me!!!

If I can get all my projects done this year I plan to reward myself in 2011 with a 40% slick from aerotech and another super custom scale job. Both 100cc power plants..

    Hurry!!!!

I don't even want to tell you what happened to the fuse last night.. I should have just shot the damn dog. I am scared to look at the damage.. Fuse "fell" off the table and the foot peg of the XR 80 is inside the fuse.. I am going to work on the wings and stabs this weekend and try and not kill the [email protected]

Poor dog my ass! This Fu cking "Free" Dog is eating me out of house and home. My wife brought this home after I said NO. She has her way but in the last 14 months this dog is worth at least 2 very nice "new" 40% planes. New fence, new electric fence, vet bills, more vet bills, Dog needs custom medicated food, Dog has heart worms (1700.00$) fix, Did I mention the new flooring or the new bedding on every bed in the house, the new front door and screen? The cord on my shop vac, the cord on my sawszall, my brand new 100' hose, the cord on the skillsaw, three 25' rolls of monokote, the half eaten custom painted predator canopy? Oh **** I should just shoot myself,,,, Oh, I now sleep "on the couch" cuz this poor 85lb monster sleeps with her every night.
