Gotta play a benefit that afternoon, maybe I can get out in the AM.
Hey guys, I should have mentioned it earlier but there is a "Probro" get together this weekend at the Woodland club. Some guys will probably start flying tomorrow, I'm gonna try to get there Fri. Don't need a profile to fly, just be ready for mayhem from what I've heard. Check out theprofilebrotherhood.com for info. Later!
Well, life's been extremely hectic lately, but I promised Bunky that I would throw up a pic of his awesome DA-85 mount... Long story short, the Pro Flow that I was going to use runs into the wing tube... I will have to try a front dump can intend, or a regular pitts muffler....
Hate it when it does that.......
Cut the wing tube.....it's only a little bit right? lol
Sorry I've been away from flying lately, but I've been pretty dang busy in other life functions.... A lot of projects around the house, crazy work hours, threats of another overseas trip in the near future, and I got married this week..
I need to get the trailer setup for hauling the Ultimate to the field since I got rid of the 'Burban.. not sure how I'm going to do that yet, though...
I think I am heading up to Chico on Saturday, still ironing out plans, but might be able to stop by the field and get a couple flights in....
Can't you pull the trailer with the Ultimate? Man, you need to spend a month in Idaho, and see how the local folk git'er'done! lol.
BTW, congrats on getting hitched! Now, hitch up that trailer to the airplane, and tow in style.
Sorry, forgot you live in CA.....rrr:
Ah...... The real reason we haven't seen you comes out. Congratulations!
Saturday sounds good, a nice 80 degree winters day here in Norcal.
Thanks Thor for dragging me out this morning and letting me wiggle the sticks on your 110" Yak! Also good to see Mark and Scott as well as meet Greg.(I think that was his name)
Anyways, the wife enjoyed coming out and she has been wanting to see me fly "the big yellow one" taking up space in the garage, so I expect that we will be back out with some real planes. Did get about 4 aggressive flights on the calypso today, so that was good...
here's some pics that she took...
Good to see ya and a pleasure to meet Bobbie. Seems like a neat lady, whad you do to be so deserving?
Yeah, put a little maintainance into the planes......Let's get some flying in before it gets nasty hot.
Thanks Thor! If I had the time, I would have already done it, but this new job and working on my degree eats into all my free time... gotta keep the wife happy now too! After my family comes out here in May, I may be able to get the Ultimate preflighted for the season.. What do I need to do for club dues this year?
Address should be on the OAC website. I think we decided to wave late fee due to deployment. Send em $40.
Wow, it's been almost a year since I've updated this. Life always has a funny way of getting in the way of things. In this case, I've been working very hard to finish my BA degree before my daughter is born, and am in the process of moving to Lincoln CA. I haven't gotten any time to fly lately, but I'm hoping that will change soon, but.....
Congrats on the new baby, and relationship. Good to see you're still alive and kicking!
Gotta drag people out from under rocks once in a while! lol
