While it's being rebuilt, is there any chance of changing the front of the fuselage to fit a Dalton or Carden cowl? I always thought the Godfrey cowl looked pretty bad.

When I was looking for my next kit one of the Pro's at Aero-Tech suggested a Godfrey because they build lite. After some digging I found the remnants of a website and a phone number. Robert answered and told me he had one last Extra 27% kit left and I bought it. I'm almost done building it and have enjoyed working with Robert through the whole process.

My impression is that he will not be making any more. The kit I got had been sitting around for a few years.

Anyway I am now at the covering phase of the build.

Well guys, it's starting to get cold, getting pretty excited to start back on the Godfrey Extra 300 again, and then my 42% AeroWorks Yak-54 went in a year ago, aileron servo caught fire, fuse is rebuildable, the left wing leading edge is damage, after talking to Jeff Oak at AeroWorks, the fuse is $895.95 plus shipping and it's the wrong color scheme, so it's cheaper to rebuild it, the Extra 300 come first, then I will start on the AeroWork Yak fuse, get ready it's going to be a lot of pictures :banghead::banghead::eek:ut::eek:ut:

Well, I decided not to rebuild AeroWorks 42% Yak-54, I'm just going to part it, I know someone may need some parts from it or repair the whole plane, new this plane is over $2200.00.

Ok, got a little more done, trying to use monokote covering, hate to cover airplanes, never works out for me, but this time I may get lucky.
