Is Stihl HP a semi synthetic oil.

You are right. I was looking at the ultra specs and not the hp. Sorry for the confusion.

Is Stihl HP a semi synthetic oil.

Stihl says on their web page that it is fully synthetic. Doesn't say what API group.

    Set temp alarm to ?

That's exactly what I'm after. I want the alarm to tell me the temp is getting risky and I need to back off, or land and see what the problem is. I don't want nuisance alarms when it is just getting a little on the warm side of normal operation. I can look down at the screen to see that.

    Set temp alarm to ?

Thanks for the replies. It is going on a Telemaster with a cowl cobbled onto it. I'll be sure to baffle it decently, and maybe go a bit lower than 300 then.

    Set temp alarm to ?

I'm setting up a DLE 60 twin and it is the first gasser I will have temp telemetry. What do you set the alert to go off at? I was thinking 300f would be safe?

    Dx8 Voltage

I could run the stock Dx8 battery fairly low when I would get the chance to be flying all day. I put the Specktrum lipo in it, and it has been great. Runs for a long time before it needs to be recharged. As I understand it, the pack has balancing circuitry built in, and you charge it...

Slightly off topic, but it looks like you did some excellent work there.

Giant scale vulcan xh558 (engine fire)

Tough to get a feel for it from a video, but it seems to be a more floaty and slower flying beast than I would have guessed.

    Mac Hodges B29, latest crash

Yeah I'm not that skilled of an rc pilot and probably shouldn't arm chair quarterback that flight, but I think my instinct would have been to hit the ignition kill as soon as it was apparent the plane wasn't responding to inputs as expected. I suppose that does count as a double crash. Chuck...

    Mac Hodges B29, latest crash

It's hard to tell with the camera frame rate, but to me it looked like the far left engine didn't power up on the take off run? It also looked like there was a lot of right rudder input mid-run?

    Soldering station shopping

Thanks for the replies. Wasn't too sure about some of the cheaper ones, but it sounds like they are ok.

    Soldering station shopping

I'm looking at soldering stations and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations. This would be an occasional use item for me, so it doesn't have to be commercial quality or price. For larger wire, like around 90 watts. Thoughts?

    Carbon Z Carbon Cub

Well, I was on the fence since I already have a high wing plane (rascal 110), but the LHS had one someone ordered and backed out of. Plus, I have some 6s5000's for a heli I don't fly much. It is a really fun plane to fly. Strong rudder, effective flaps, fun to knife edge. Lots of power. I've...

Have you ran the engine with them yet? Any notable change?

    Dle 222 v3

Wow, I would not have guessed that, but once you mention it, it makes perfect sense. They must have emense experience when it comes to reeds that perform, and last.
