So I called the futaba repair center and asked if they could test the new rx I bought from them while they repairing the Tx and at first they would not give me an answer
That makes me wonder if there was a problem with a batch of rx that they don't want
Anyone to know about hmmmm makes me wonder

It could simply be logistics. Part being dropped shipped from a warehouse not in the same building.
I think you are looking for a conspiracy that doesn't exist.
Too many hmmms.
They seem to be solving your problem rather quickly in my opinion.

Thanks for the input I would have to agree that the problem is being worked on rather quickly I guess I will have to do some testing when I get the radio back

You mentioned " short range signals and long range signals". First time I have heard of that. What is a short range signal verses a long range signal??

No idea I think that is what futaba is saying to get out of saying that
The rx is a bad receiver my opinion is I made the mistake of telling them
That it went through a crash maybe it would have been looked a a little

Been a Futaba flyer for 20 years. Once I made the switch to 2.4 I have only had ONE issue: an early 14 ch. Rx got VERY hot inside the canopy of a CARF Giles with canisters and it locked up. Thankfully, the plane was on the ground.
Have been flying a 14SG since the radio was introduced, using every Rx Futaba makes, in composite aircraft, gassers, electrics and glow and never a single glitch.

Am VERY intrigued by the JETI radios, but keep asking myself WHY I would switch, when my 14SG does absolutely everything I need it to do, without a hiccup?
I also understand how to program it.

The new 18SZ looks very attractive, especially since the latest software update allows a direct transfer of all 14SG set-ups.... but again, no problems whatsoever with my 14SG, so why switch?

Started with a 9C, then 10CAG, then 12Z, then 14MZ, now 14SG. Never lost a plane due to radio failure.
