Rev engines are made by JC engines and are basically the same as their other engines. There was a thread on FG that got deleted when some not so flattering truths were being posted about the manufacture JC. The US importer of Rev is an advertiser there and....well you know, they couldn't handle the truth. It's very easy for a manufacturer to send one specimen that does well for a review, I wouldn't doubt anything Greg Poppel writes but there's more to an engine company than one engine, I'd steer clear of the Rev line.
Red Lion is made by Doohan Aircraft Model Co., the parent company to ARF manufacturing, Goldwing, and others. They've been around in EU for a little over a year, I've heard they're performing pretty good, their based on a copy of a slightly enlarged DLE55 with a slightly different Crankshaft and cylinder (shorter stroke, larger bore, different porting). some have gotten slightly better performance than a DLE others have gotten the same or a little less. Chief is the only USA seller I know of but there must be others. Their market share is low as they haven't lived up to their hype and the price is the same (within $10) of a DLE55, for most, there's just no reason to take the risk when a DLE is a known quantity.
Were it between the two, I'd try the Red Lion. The Rev only if I could afford to toss it if something went south.
