Slats and Nick M met up here last night and we shot the sh!t over a few beer while they exchanged a Hangar9 35% with an MVVS. Nice motor, btw.
Our boys hockey team hosted a tournament today. I was Mr Music up in the booth freezing my a$$ off blaring tunes and blowin' the horn! Zachary's team did well, won 2 of his three games.
Goin full tilt tomorrow on it. I'm just goin over everything figuring out where and what to start on.

Ok. For starters, thinking of swapping out the one pound 50mm aluminum tube for Graphtech's.
Also would like to beef up the two piece gear with a plate of some sort to go over the join in the middle. Gonna get the fuse off the floor or table putting the gear on first.

Make sure it fits right- I bought one from Troy built and I had to add 2 cans of Deft to build it up so it wouldn't rattle around....
FWIW...

It's supposed to be a direct replacement for the CARF's. I was just trying to reduce overall weight, but if it's a hassel, might not be worth the 9+oz savings.

I wonder if the wingtube is actually 2" diameter? did you measure it with a tape or a caliper?
2 cans of spray build-up is a lot!
But, if you factor the tube,30 bucks shipping, some tax... that's still only about $20 bucks per ounce of weight savings... assuming it fits

Correct me if I'm wrong but the graphtech tube weighs 16.5 ounces and you stated the stock tube weighs 1 lb..... so wheres the weight savings ?

Re: Revy's 2.6m Comp ARF Edge 540
16.5oz for the entire 1.35m tube which I would need some cut off. The stock tube is just under 32".
My Canadian ways got the imperial measurements mucked up, lol. Like I said, I'm not going to, just go with the one I got.
One gripe about the kit. Not a biggie, just need to run to the hardware store to pick up some 3mm blind nuts. I've got 16 x 1/4" and 6 x 3mm. It should be the other way around, lol.
