I believe that 2 is better on a 35%r especially on a yak they have a huge rudder. One sevo will wear out quick.

he has an edge. IMO, how well a single rudder servo works is dependent on the final weight of the plane, not how big the rudder is. A single 8711 works well up to 28 pounds or so. After that, you may consider two.

Good rule of thumb weight of the plane = to torque of the servo
IE: 15 oz foamie- 15oz servo, 25 lb = 400 oz plane use 400 oz servo on all surfaces. Just a easy way to remember.

More importantly is what type of flying you are doing. I used a single servos on my H9 35% 260 and it worked great, I was not taxing the airplane to the edge though. I am sure that if I was really pushing it a second would have been nice. If you can afford the extra money, go for the 2 servo option, I am trying to think back; I don't think I have ever heard someone say, DAMN! I wish I wouldn't have put that extra servo in there, it's just to much power!

I think that would be a little lite for a 50# plane though..

50 lb=800 oz 5955= 300oz * 3 in a tray =900 0z of torque
thats plenty for a 50lb plane 800 oz would represent the min.
required. I should of stated I use this guide line for slow 3D flying If your going Imac or want full throttle blenders add 30% to your total IE; my 900 oz would go to 1070oz of torque for my 50lb plane ( 4 5955 in a tray)

I have 6 Futaba S9152 with the Futaba quad arms which are up to 1.75" long and plenty strong, so no need for expensive aluminum arms. I can let them all go for let's say $420.00, that's $70 a piece. I do have a use for them, that's why I can't give them away, but I can also go another route.
