It's amazing no one has died yet as low and fast as they fly..... just amazing.
You forgot Reno Air Racing, Boat Racing, Motorcycle, snowmobile, driving on the freeway, driving down the street, walking, jogging, sitting in the living room, etc..
People die, pets die, there is death all the time, you don't have to be doing a damn thing and die, when your card is pulled out of the great Rolodex you are gone, you could be in the safest place in the world. It freaking doesn't matter dose it? It happens and people make a big thing if the person is a "star".

Matt Hall is a lucky dude and that was a helluva save. The gulp in the face shot video is a classic example of swallowing one's own brain. What a scare. Dangerous sport no doubt, I don't care how good of a pilot I could be, I would no way no how compete in those races... I have mad respect for the bravery and talent these guys have.

I don't think so, Bill. Don't quote me on that, but I remember seeing the site for the 2012s somewhere last week, dunno if it was legit.
here are the naysayers: http://www.wired.com/autopia/2011/11/no-red-bull-air-races-in-2012/
