Default New Battery Packs

Just a reminder, don't assume that a new pack is good.
I recently bought a new transmitter pack. I noticed that it was dead when it arrived and charged it only to find that when I turned the transmitter on it went dead in about 10 seconds.

I used another new pack from the same company only this morning only to have it go dead after about a minute in the air.

It never occured to me that I could have got two bad packs in a row at the time.

You can bet that I'll cycle all of my new packs in the future before I use them.

He came out to the field to practice landings on the runway because he had been flying at Rabbit.
He went up with his 86 qq yak, the warning beep went off right after he took off and I looked at the radio and the voltage read 9.0 volts, he quickly came around and was ten feet out further then the runway and he put it in the dirt and hit a snall knoll. The plane flipped forward over her nose and then upside down. A broken prop, and the landing gear ripped out but not completely. 2-3 hours worth of repair work. He was going to let me fly it.
Damn!!!!

I didn't get it down in time due to the fact that I have trouble finding the runway. (Used to Rabbit)

I landed in the weeds and tore out the under carrage.

I don't want to trash this brand of battery packs. I've used them in the past and I've had good results. I heard from them today and he said that he's dumped his current stock and will not make any new packs until he gets a new shipment.
