But for many people who fly precision, they have basically 100 degrees of servo arm travel geared down to 28 degrees of elevator travel... the direct drive is 1:1 ratio and precision guys prolly aren't gonna want to give up resolution... have you thought of ways to get a ratio'd control surface deflection??

Resoulution isn't a problem. I have been flying this for a solid year now. I flew it in the Invitational class at the Shootout. The system works perfectly.

[size="3"]Thanks for posts and pictures...question,,,It appears to me that one must gang the servoboxes together in the case of multiple servos...first is this correct..???

In the case of a large scale IMAC or 3D plane and with large control surfaces, present design format is to locate a servo at the center of pressure of each control surface...thus, on a large wing surface it is not unusual to see three servo locations spread out ....how does one address three servos in the direct drive approach...?????

WOW this look cool. i wonder if it could be done to a fiberglass plane.

The same way you would if you were installing the servos the standard way. The servos can be spread out over the wing or gained with 3 in a row. The Direct drive doesn't hold you back on any setup.

visit www.durantdirectdrive.com There are several installs on the website including my Carden Yak.
