Default Rudder Steering Arm

I bent the rudder steering arm on my GP 38% and I'd like to replace it. Do you guys have any suggestions on a replacement?

Do you mind spending a bit or do you want light and high quality cheaply?

If you are on a budget get a Ohio Superstar, they are great. (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNC73 )
If money is no option get the White Rose Engineering ( http://www.whiteroseeng.com/gallery/ )

I'm going to use a J & J Tailwheels next time I need one.

His stuff looks real nice, durable, and light.

Yeah dean the J&J are nice, but the weight is not much less than the Ohio for twice the price. I actually run the Pete's tail wheels on my big stuff, he warranties his wheels and replaces them if I break them also, carbon fiber and cheaper and lighter than the J&J also.

Is the X-Large Ohio unit that you linked to appropriate for a 40% plane? It says it's for 22 - 32 pound planes.

There's nothing wrong with the tail wheel. Just the arm that goes on the rudder. I can bend it back, but I think that it's been weakened. Is there a source for the phoenelic material like QQ is using that I could just make a new arm?

I agree, I like the J&J and will try one the next time I have to buy a tail wheel.

Whoops. We didn't know which "steering arm" you were referring to.

For a quick fix, you could use 1/8" plywood. Remove a little covering and CA it to the bottom of the rudder. You could fuel proof it with thin CA if you want to.

I have lots of left over phenolic material from my Composite-ARF planes. I'm not sure where you could buy any.

radio shack.get circut board material and cut two the same and put a ply spacer in between for a ball link to go into and glue it in the rudder
