Re: Need pictures of 2.4 set up's
Here you go. This is a pretty typical setup. But what you basically need to do is think "line of site" when installing the receiver and satellites, keeping in mind those things in your plane that attenuate the signal (metal, carbon fiber, other electronics. A tank full of fuel will not block 2.4, btw.
So basically, set up at least one of the receivers as far away from those signal blockers as possible, and then set the others up in what you feel is a good line of site position. What I mean by that is, once you have the receivers where you think you want them, mentally picture the plane in just about every attitude/flight direction possible and ask yourself "do I have direct line of site of at least one receiver at all times, in all positions?" Keep in mind that your engine and cans and wing tube will hinder your line of site tube, as well as any carbon fiber, so you have to pretend that you can't "see" through them, but you can see through wood, covering, fiberglass, etc.
Then, if you think you have a good setup, do a full range test with a data logger. In the end, it will have the final say-so.
