Default Sbach 342 or msxr?

Looking for a new project this winter, Im not interested in anything over 50cc anymore. I've flown the 100cc sbach 342 and the 50cc msxr and really enjoyed both however I have not had my hands on the 50cc sbach . For the guys that have both which do you prefer and why?

I enjoy aerobatics, 3d, and sport flying so im wanting I guess an all around plane.

Thanks for any advice!

Justin

Flip a coin- I like the looks of the Sbach better then the MSX-r- plus the more mid-ish wing on the Sbach should make it a better 3D machine...

I have a 50cc GW SBACH and have a little over 50 flights on the plane. Its powered by a DLE55. I love the plane...it came out around 18 lbs and it floats. The roll rate is incredible. I am mostly a IMAC guy, so I can not tell you how it will 3d. One thing I can tell you is that if you are going to have to use shorter standoffs if you get the GW version. If you use stock standoffs the spinner will be 1/4 to 3/8 inches from cowl. It is set up for a cannister with supplied mounts. I like the SBACH because its different than all the other 300's and Edge's out there.

There is a build thread on RCuniverse under Redwing Sboch.

Good luck
Brian

I have two very similar planes, an Sbach 300 and an MX2, my preference by far is for the MX2. It's very much an all around plane. It will fly faster or slower than the Sbach and has less coupling. It flies precision better than I can but just say the word and it will turn itself inside out. The Sbach is a good flyer also, but for me, it's just not as good as the MX2 at anything, my flight preferences are similar to yours.

Thanks for the responses guys, I love the sbach342 but that nigel lamb scheme msxr has been tempting me to hit the buy button. I can get either one from the china town manufacture but having a hard time deciding which one. I just need to convince the wife I need another plane now.

Unloading a new container of 50cc MXS-Rs and MX2s tomorrow morning! Three schemes for the "R", the MX2s are in the Gary Ward scheme.

I saw the black and Green and silver (I think) MSXR's in a pic on FG. Are these 30cc or 50cc or what? They were AWESOME! You need to post a pic or 2 on here. Seriously I want one.

They are sweet! Is yours the 89" wing span? I was talking to two factories one had the 89" and the other was the 87"
